Abstract:
For the purpose of redesigning of superheater in refrigeration system during R22 phase-out, the effect of operating parameters on effective superheat performance of R22 and its seven alternative refrigerants have been studied by thermodynamic calculation and analysis. The results showed that the influencing factors of performance contrast between effective superheat refrigeration cycles and ideal refrigeration cycles include not only refrigerant species, but also parameters of operating condition of cycle. For R22, R152a and R410A, the performance contrast between cycles with or without effective superheat is strongly depending on operating conditions. R290, R134a, R407C and R507 always benefit from effective superheat in regard to refrigerating capacity per unit swept volume. The effective superheat has negative influence on cycle performance of R717 under all calculated conditions.
