In　order　to　study　systematically　the　pollution　of　regional　environments,　to　provide　a　better　guidance　for　urban　administration　and　environmental　planning,　according　to　the　monitoring　data　from　a　district　of　Beijing　cily,　this　paper　has　made　an　analysis　and　some　explorations　on　the　status　of　environmental　pollution　and　environmental　quality　by　using　the　factor　analysis　tool　of　statistical　package　for　social　science　(SPSS).　This　paper　has　provided　a　reference　operation　model　and　method　for　drawing　up　environmental　development　plan　and　controlling　pollution.
