The simulation on a vapor-compression heat pump using plate heat exchanger as the condenser and evaporator was carried out through this work. A steady-state model was applied for the small-scale heat pump system. A vapor-compression heat pump set-up was built, and a large number of experimental data was collected through the tests. The experimental results showed that the simulation is very successful and matched with the real running situation.
