Bentonite　is　a　kind　of　clay　mineral　consisting　of　montmorillonite　which　has　faourable　capability　of　adsorption　and　ion　exchange.　Property-modified　bentonite　bentonite　has　been　widely　used　as　environment　function　material　in　printing　and　dyeing　wastewater　treatment.　The　present　conditions　of　property　modification　process　of　bentonite　and　its　application　in　treating　printing　and　dyeing　wastewater　is　summarized　in　this　paper.　And　the　applied　foreground　of　property-modified　bentonite　in　treating　printing　and　dyeing　wastewater　is　prospected.
