The conventional PID control is hard to implement with effectiveness for the nonlinear object with time delay, and fuzzy control has better dynamic characteristics, so the parameter self-tuning fuzzy-PID combined controller is proposed by combining the advantages of conventional PID and fuzzy control. The parameter self-tuning realized by fuzzy inference can make the controller adapt to different control objects and various states. The method of fuzzy inference realizes smooth transitions of the controller during switching. The result of continuous sterilization temperature control in a pharmaceutical factory shows that this controller can improve control accuracy and shorten the system response time, avoid occurrence of bacteria contaminating and increase fermentation unit.
