Abstract:
The influence of the side wind speed on the heat release rate of enclosure fire in high-rise buildings was studied by small-scale burning test in this paper. The results showed that the side wind could affect the HRR of enclosure fire. HRR of enclosure fire would increase with the side wind speed increasing. This should be considered carefully for the fire safety design in high-rise buildings, ambient wind effect on enclosure fire and the window plume should not be ignore. © 2019 IEEE.
