B222 on planting and breeding of seedling production line is the use of mechanized assembly line of flowers and vegetables from sowing to harvest the entire process of production by mechanical replacement of manual work. Base nursery is the core of the entire assembly line, our country on the seedling matrix block formation automation equipment is in its infancy, but also can not design and manufacture of mature block formation automation equipment. According to the research and analysis, the prototype formation equipment's process is divided into mixed soil matrix, soil matrix transport, with taking innovative design, the three process are integrated together to achieve fully automated production equipment, and further research on key mould pressing devices. Solidworks is used to design the press moulding. EDEM software is used to simulate the process of pressing matrix, the establishment of the contact model is the basis of the numerical simulation of the granular material, select the ECM particle model, through the analysis of the simulation data, it is found that with the increase of depressurization velocity at a certain speed range of 0.04 m/s-0.08 m/s at other parameters, the number of inter-granular surface contacts decreases and the cohesion decreases. The equpment used PLC adopts technology, sensor technology, electromagnetic valve and other control techniques, it is possible to achieve intelligent pressing of the matrix block. © 2018 IEEE.
