In this study, a concept of air-source heat pump system coupled with heat pipes radiator system (ASHPPR) for room heating was proposed. The heat pipes radiators were developed to replace the heating terminal equipment used in traditional heat pump plants. A tested room with artificial load was constructed and an experimental apparatus of HPPR system was developed. Heat radiator performances with different kinds of refrigerant and different charge ratio of refrigerant inside heat pipe have been experimentally investigated. The variations of system heating performance under the condition of different indoor air temperature and outdoor air temperature were researched.
