Demonstration of compact flow-switching accelerator for virtual machines communication in PON enable data center network

Abstract:

We demonstrate a flow-switching accelerator plugged into servers directly to accomplish low-latency data exchange between virtual machines for Passive-optical-network based data center network. The throughput reaches 32Gbps and latency varies from 389.0ns to 1230.6ns. © OSA 2016.
