摘要:
Magnetic field induced martensitic transformation in Fe-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys has been discovered by W. Zhu et. al and T. Omori et. al respectively in 2009 [1, 2]. Thereafter, very few works concerned about this alloy, considering its great potential of giant shape memory strain, large exchange bias and magnetocaloric effect [3]. One obstacle is that the crystal structure transitions of this material are tangled together with martensitic transformation, and thus make it difficult to investigate the porperties accurately. Besides, the phase stability is very sensitive to the variation of both composition and heat treatment. To simplify the problem, melt spinning method was employed in this work to obtain Fe-Mn-Ga phase with single structure. The martensitic transformation is completely suppressed and thus the structure evolution and the mechanism of phase transitions could been investigated separately. © 2015 IEEE.
