Abstract：

We　investigated　characteristics　of　two　typical　pulses　in　passively　mode-locked　thuliumdoped　fiber　lasers.　The　dissipative　soliton　pulse-shaping　operation　without　additional　spectral　filter　in　the　thulium-doped　fiber　laser　was　demonstrated　in　numerical　simulation.　©　OSA　2014.
