摘要:
A pilot-scale ultrafiltration (UF) experiment was conducted to determine the effect of membrane flux on pollutants removal performance and membrane fouling. The study results showed that with the increase of the membrane flux (20, 30 and 40 LMH respectively), the removal of turbidity, CODMn and UV254 were slightly decreased. Every 10 LMH more flux increased, the UV254 removal was reduced double. The growth rate of the trans-membrane pressure (TMP) became faster when the membrane flux increased, and 20 LMH could be considered as the critical flux in the raw water quality and working conditions. Membrane fouling rate could be delayed by air bubbling and backwashing. The larger the membrane flux was, the more TMP could be reduced. Furthermore, the effect of delaying the membrane fouling by backwashing was better than by air bubbling. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
