In this paper, TDI-CCD was applied to dental X-ray panoramic radiography, in order to improve the image resolution and realize the direct digital radiography. The drive pulses of TDI-CCD are generated by CPLD, causing storage and shift of photoinduced charge. TDI-CCD can operate normally under the action of drive pulses. Aiming at reducing the noise of the CCD output signal, signal processing circuit was designed. And the noise can be greatly restrained through capacitance coupling, filtering, clamping, sampling and holding circuits. The processed CCD signal is convenient for A/D conversion. © 2012 IEEE.
