摘要:
Driver fatigue is one of the main causes of fatal accidents. The development of countermeasures against driver fatigue has been an urgent issue. This paper focuses on in experiments that, in the virtual driving environment, based on the formation mechanism of driver fatigue, caught the driver fatigue state of subjects, used sound as an environmental stimulus to intervene, and applied experimental data to analyze effects of different types of sound stimuli on driver fatigue. Four factors and three levels of orthogonal design were carried out in the experiment, according to eye movement and physiological indicators before and after different types of sound stimuli to identify the extent of driver fatigue. We then selected the most effective sound combination to combat fatigue. The result showed that sonic intensity and stimulation time were the most significant factors to fighting driver fatigue, and frequency and stimulating interval were weak factors. © 2009 ASCE.
