The　bicycle　is　an　important　tool　for　residents　in　Beijing.　Based　on　the　extensive　survey　data,　the　traffic　problem　of　bicycle　is　analyzed.　Aimed　at　intersections　with　mixed　traffic　flow,　in　order　to　increase　bicycle　safety,　this　paper　summarized　design　method　for　left　turn　bicycles　based　on　practice　in　Beijing.　An　intersection　was　chosen　to　made　a　before　and　after　study　to　illustrate　the　effect　of　design　for　left　turn　bicycle.　These　methods　will　play　an　important　role　in　bicycle　safety　improvement.　©　ASCE.
