A series of CeSnTiOx mixed oxides catalysts were prepared by a co-precipitation method with Ce(NO3)3, SnCl4 and TiOSO4 as precursors and their performances for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with NH3 as the reductant were investigated. It was found that the Ce0.42Sn0.05TiOx catalyst showed the highest low temperature activity, on which the NO conversion reached 97% at 180℃. The characterization results of the powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), the nitrogen sorption isotherm measurement (BET), the temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), in-situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (DRIFTS), X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS) and etc. showed that the doping a little bit of tin to the Ce0.46TiOx mixed oxide could increase the BET surface area and the reducibility of cerium species, and optimize the surface acidity and the ratios of Ce3+/(Ce3++Ce4+) and Oα/(Oα+Oβ) of the catalysts. © 2018, Editorial Office of Journal of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths.
