In an ultrasonic guided waves receiving system, to suppress the noise in the acquisition signal, a digital FIR filter based on FPGA was designed to filter the signals in signal acquisition of an ultrasonic guided waves receiving system. First, the working principle of FIR filter in FPGA was descripted. MATLAB was used to design the FIR filter, while Verilog was used to program the filter in FPGA. ModelSim was used for the simulation and the filtering function could achieve the required output. Finally, the proposed design was really used to process the ultrasonic guided waves signals in the developed system. Results show the filtering function can be well achieved. © 2018, Editorial Department of Journal of Beijing University of Technology. All right reserved.
