摘要:

The control effectiveness of TMD to vibration caused by harmonic excitation and wind is affirmed by all the researchers, while there is not coincident conclusion about the control effectiveness of TMD to mitigate structural seismic response. In this paper, the different methods for TMD parameter optimization are compared and their seismic control effectiveness is compared. Based on the concept of response spectra, the control effectiveness of TMD for a SDOF system seismic response is studied. The results demonstrate that TMD is effective to mitigate seismic response of the SDOF in general.
