Abstract:

Under the engineering background of the First Mine of Yili in Xinjiang Municipality, the physical model test was designed and the method of failure mechanism of the surrounding rock of oblique laneway in thick gravel stratum with water was found. The test simulation of the failure process of the surrounding rock under progressive load and seepage condition was carried out successfully. Finally the model test results of the progressive failure process of the surrounding rock under seepage, the laws of the stress of surrounding rock and the pressure of the bracket and their displacement during the collapse were analyzed. The results show that roof separation phenomenon of thick gravel bed is evident under the condition of uncoupled support and seepage. Subsidence of roof surrounding rock is bigger than roadways sides. The loading on supports increases obviously, meanwhile because of the decreased tolerance of surrounding rock and then the intension turns to be lower significantly, the supports pressure increases soon, the supports instability easily. The pressure of the soil on roof has the most obvious and biggest change under gradually loading, followed with the two sides.
