The phenomenon of carbon resource limited is a common problem in the municipal wastewater. In this study, primary sludge which come from primary sediment is been use for generating carbon resource by anaerobic hydrolysis acidification process. In the condition of temperature is 35°C, HRT = 28h and SRT = 3d, ρ(SCOD)and ρ(VFA) of effluents reach the peak value at 975.8 mg/L and 516.4 mg/L during the operate time. When the alkalinity is 725 mg/L and pH is 7.12, hydrolysis acidification process can keep the stable state of hydrolysis acidification efficiency. Appropriate alkalinity and pH value are the key parameters of hydrolysis acidification process for stabile operation. When the hydrolysis acidification process is fluctuated, the changes of ρ(SCOD) and VFA are previous to the alkalinity and pH value. © 2009 DEStech Publications, Inc.
