In order to study the effects of pressure on the new-type opposed biconical cone screw seawater hydraulic pump, a three-dimensional model of the new-type pump and the corresponding fluid dynamics model were presented. The flow fields for different pump pressure conditions and different positions of the cone screw rotor were numerically simulated, where the pressure distribution in the sealing cavity and the hydraulic force on the rotor were obtained. Analyses show that, the pressure distribution divided by the meshing lines of cone screws and bush is gradually increased from the inlets to the outlet; the axial hydraulic forces on the two symmetrical cone screws are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction; direction of the hydraulic force on rotor rotates in the opposite direction of rotator's rotation, while the force value is constant.
