Abstract:
Time-history method is used to study the joint stiffness effect on dynamic stability of single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell fine model as the Ground Peak Acceleration (PGA) is changing. Meanwhile, the structural parameters such as rise-span ratio and length-width ratio and so on are considered. The joint stiffness is altered according to the change of the wall thickness of joint. In total, 4 groups of fine models are used in the example. The result from these 4 groups of models is similar. It shows the joint stiffness effect on the dynamic stability of these structures is larger when PGA is smaller (PGA is larger than collapse acceleration), and this rule is not changed when the structural parameter is different.
