Abstract:

Current research on recycled concrete structures mainly focuses on recycled concrete in lower strength , reduced scale , and relatively simple loading conditions. The design theory methods based on these studies have many limitations need to be improved significantly. This paper summarizes the studies on recycled concrete structures at homeandabroad includingmechanicalpropertie ofrecycledconcrete tructure ei micperformanceofrecycled concrete beams , columns , joints , shear walls , frame structures , and frame-shear wall structures. Previous studies are briefly reviewed , and some notable projects are presented. Based on the state-of-the-art review , this paper proposes some critical technical issues for future research and offers some suggestions. Previous studies indicated that the developmen to frecycledconcretestructuresisamaindem and for building material srecycling and building wasterecycling. Also recycledconcrete structures can be used for seismic design of building structures.
