Abstract:

The effect of Er addition and annealing after cold-rolling on properties of electrical aluminum was investigated to obtain production with both high strength and electrical conductivity. The results showed that Er addition can improve the recrystallization temperature of the cold rolling alloys. The AlEr sample can be annealed to obtain high electrical conductivity with less strength reduction due to its high thermal stability. The optimum thermal processto obtain production with both high strength and electrical conductivity for the AlEr alloy was annealing at 300℃ for 24 to 100 h after cold rolling. © 2017, Editorial Office of Journal of the Chinese Society of Rare Earths.
