An interrogation method of chirped fiber Bragg grating (FBG) based on a microwave photonic filter (MPF) is proposed to realize temperature-insensitive strain measurement. In the proposed MPF, two identical chirped FBGs are embedded to form a Michelson interferometer. When strain is applied to one of the chirped FBGs, its wavelength shift will produce a change in signal transmission latency due to the chromatic dispersion of chirped FBG, resulting in a path difference for the Michelson interferometer. Consequently, a variation on the central frequency of MPF is introduced. Therefore, the wavelength shift of chirped FBG induced by strain can be interrogated by monitoring the frequency response of MPF. Moreover, the effect of ambient temperature can be compensated with the other chirped FBG. The experimental results show that frequency shift of MPF in response to strain with a sensitivity of 1.9 MHz/mu epsilon is achieved for a measurement range of 0 similar to 1167 mu epsilon. Besides, the system keeps unchanged within a temperature range from 30 degrees C to 100 degrees C.

A Doppler velocity simulation method based on serrodyne modulation is proposed to achieve the frequency shift from hundred hertz to megahertz. One sub-phase modulation (PM) in a dual-parallel dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator loads a sawtooth signal to achieve a small frequency shift of the optical carrier. The other three sub-PMs implement carrier-suppressed double-band modulation of the RF signal. The RF signal is directly coupled from the receiving antenna to the modulator's RF port without any electrical devices like a 90 degrees hybrid, which ensures a broad operational bandwidth of the system. After filtering out one of the RF modulation sidebands by an optical filter, Doppler frequency shifting (DFS) is realized through frequency beating. The half-wave voltage of modulators rapidly decreases at low frequency shifts, leading to an increase in spurious signals. In order to improve the spurious suppression ratio (SSR) of DFS, a digital pre-distortion compensation based on the measured half-wave voltage is implemented in the frequency domain. Experimental results show that SSRs are larger than 35 dB when frequency shifts range from 0.1 kHz to 1 MHz. The RF operation bandwidth covers 2-40 GHz. The effectiveness of a Doppler velocity simulator is evaluated, and the simulation velocity error is less than 0.06 km/h. The proposed method has potential applications in both broadband electronic warfare and traffic metering applications.

A photonic method for the reconfigurable generation of switchable multi-format linearly frequency modulated (LFM) signal using a dual-polarization dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DP-DPMZM) is proposed and experimentally verified. By properly controlling the bias voltage applied on the DP-DPMZM, different chirp waveforms, including dual-chirped, down-chirped and up-chirped LFM signals, can be obtained when a radio frequency (RF) signal and a baseband chirped signal are injected into the modulator. Besides, the central frequency of the generated LFM signal can be converted from X-band to K-band by adopting -2(nd)-order sideband instead of -1(st)-order sideband of the modulated RF signal. Moreover, the RF signal is always single sideband modulated, thus eliminating the dispersion-induced power fading, which is essential for the photonics-based distributed multi-function radar. In the proposed scheme, no optical filter is required, which also improves the stability and feasibility of the system.

A microwave photonics deceptive RF regeneration method with multi-characteristic regulatory is proposed for radar jamming. In this scheme, Doppler frequency shift (DFS) is implemented by a Serrodyne structure based on the modulation of a sawtooth wave signal. This structure can effectively fulfill a small frequency shift of the original carrier through carrier-suppressed single sideband modulation without any filter, which makes a small frequency shift possible for a wideband radio frequency signal. The phase shifting of the RF signal is achieved by adjusting the bias voltage of the modulator. The RF modulation pulse signal is stored in an optical loop. Two semiconductor optical amplifiers and an Erbium-doped optical fiber amplifier are combined to control the delay time and ensure the fidelity. The experimental results show that the DFS from 100 Hz to 5 MHz can be realized and its minimum frequency step is 50 Hz. The phase shift covers from -180(degrees) to 180(degrees). Furthermore, the RF signal can be delayed more than 100 mu s with a small signal-to-noise degradation (<7.32 dB). This method supplies flexibility of multi-parameter adjustment, and has broad potential applications in modern radar interference.

本发明公开了利用二维振镜扫描照明的的太赫兹全场相衬成像方法,该方法包括用二维振镜快速改变照明光束的位置,并使用探测器延时曝光对成像帧进行平均,从而得到一个强度分布均匀的部分相干照明光场。通过一个4f系统对物体成像,采集一幅像平面和两幅不同离焦面下的强度图像,用数值差分的方法得到轴向导数。将轴向导数带入到光强传输方程的迭代算法中,通过不断减小计算实验中的轴向导数与计算得到的轴向导数的差值,不断累加相位值。当迭代满足迭代收敛条件时,迭代结束最后得到像平面的相位分布。

本发明提供了一种基于SLM多角度调制的单次曝光叠层成像方法。该方法包括设计相位图像加载到空间光调制器中来生成不同角度的子光束,探测器采集到的单幅衍射图样包含物面交叠的五幅不同的子衍射图案,由于相邻衍射图交叠部分包含有物体冗余信息,可以用叠层迭代算法得到探针光束的复振幅分布,通过衍射回传得到物平面的复振幅分布。通过拍摄一幅衍射图强度分布图像,用叠层迭代算法计算出中心平面的相位分布,进而通过衍射回传得到物平面的复振幅分布与探针分布。相比于其他叠层成像方法,单次曝光叠层成像速度更快、对时间分辨与光源的相干性要求更低。

一种基于微波光子技术的多目标三坐标探测方法属于微波光子与雷达相交叉领域。本发明将微波光子技术和雷达探测技术相结合,采用光子倍频手段产生宽带发射信号对目标进行探测,使用具有对称结构的十字形天线阵列接收回波并对回波进行去斜处理。对去斜处理得到的去斜信号频率进行对称性分析,实现对不同目标的距离、方位角以及俯仰角探测信息的区分,实现同时探测多目标的距离、方位角以及俯仰角信息。本发明对激光器功率波动和调制器偏置点漂移不敏感,因此具有更好的稳定性;接收天线的基线长度不必小于半波长,因此可以使用大孔径的接收天线阵列,以获得更高的探测精度;需波束扫描而可以实现对大方向范围内空间的实时监测。

本发明公开了一种基于达曼光栅分束的连续太赫兹波单曝光叠层成像方法,该方法通过分束器件太赫兹达曼光栅产生对被测样品进行阵列照明的子波束,同时捕获多束携带被测样品信息的衍射图样,将衍射图样进行叠层重建算法重建出照明光束的复振幅和样品的透过率函数,得到被测样品的表面形貌,提取出被测样品的相位信息,从而定量推算出被塑料、陶瓷、纸张等非极性物质遮挡的被测样品表面的形貌结构。本发明有效解决了普通太赫兹叠层成像需要多次曝光,使得实时性较低的问题,从而在定量得到大样品的形貌结构的基础上,真正实现大视场高分辨率快速成像。

Diffraction tomography is a promising, quantitative, and nondestructive three-dimensional (3D) imaging method that enables us to obtain the complex refractive index distribution of a sample. The acquisition of the scattered fields under the different illumination angles is a key issue, where the complex scattered fields need to be retrieved. Presently, in order to develop terahertz (THz) diffraction tomography, the advanced acquisition of the scattered fields is desired. In this paper, a THz in-line digital holographic diffraction tomography (THz-IDHDT) is pro-posed with an extremely compact optical configuration and implemented for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. A learning-based phase retrieval algorithm by combining the physical model and the convolution neural networks, named the physics-enhanced deep neural network (PhysenNet), is applied to reconstruct the THz in-line digital hologram, and obtain the complex amplitude distribution of the sample with high fidelity. The advantages of the PhysenNet are that there is no need for pretraining by using a large set of labeled data, and it can also work for thick samples. Experimentally with a continuous-wave THz laser, the PhysenNet is first demonstrated by using the thin samples and exhibits superiority in terms of imaging quality. More importantly, with regard to the thick samples, PhysenNet still works well, and can offer 2D complex scattered fields for dif-fraction tomography. Furthermore, the 3D refractive index maps of two types of foam sphere samples are suc-cessfully reconstructed by the proposed method. For a single foam sphere, the relative error of the average refractive index value is only 0.17%, compared to the commercial THz time-domain spectroscopy system. This demonstrates the feasibility and high accuracy of the THz-IDHDT, and the idea can be applied to other wavebands as well. (c) 2023 Chinese Laser Press
