In order to increase the scalability and reduce the complexity of photonic multipath SIC systems, a photonic multipath self-interference cancellation (SIC) method based on optical frequency comb (OFC) is proposed. The OFC is generated by continuously frequency-shifting the seed laser in the re-circulating frequency shifter (RFS) loop. The reference signal is modulated to the multiple combs of the OFC via a Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM), and the received signal is loaded into another MZM. These two MZMs work at opposite quadrature bias points to reverse the phase of the received signal and the reference signal. After splitting and filtering with a dense wavelength division multiplexer, the reference modulation signals are injected into a multipath amplitude-delay matched link, where the amplitude and delay time are accurately controlled by several sets of optical variable attenuators and tunable delay lines. Both the inversion and amplitude-delay matching of the reference signals are realised in the optical domain, contributing to a broad bandwidth and high operational frequency. Experimental results show that the cancellation depth is greater than 45.9 dB for single-frequency signals, and 23.9 dB for signals with a bandwidth of 100 MHz in a setup with three self-interference paths. The proposed method is characterized by easy scalability, good flexibility, and low cost, making it suitable for complex multipath SIC in in-band full-duplex wireless systems.

Optical hiding often requires the selection of specific artificial optical components as carriers, which results poor versatility of the carriers and high costs for the hiding system. To conceal secret information on different surfaces such as metal, wood, and paper, we propose an optical information hiding method. In this method, we use images of surfaces, whose grayscale histograms have the characteristic of symmetric distribution. Based on this characteristic, we first scramble the surface image, and then adjust part of the gray value of the surface image to the complementary value to embed the secret information into a scrambled surface image to generate a key image. In the extraction process, a projector is used to reproduce the scrambled surface image and the key image, which are then incoherently superimposed to extract the secret information using the human visual system. The extraction process does not require complex optical knowledge and is simple and feasible. Simulation experiments and optical experiments indicate that this method is applicable in practice and possesses good security and imperceptibility. Furthermore, we prove the reliability of this method by embedding secret information in different surface images, demonstrating the potential application of more surface images in the field of optical information hiding. Finally, we discuss the applicability of surface information images and analyze the imperceptibility of key images. (c) 2024 Optica Publishing Group

本发明公开了利用二维振镜扫描照明的的太赫兹全场相衬成像方法,该方法包括用二维振镜快速改变照明光束的位置,并使用探测器延时曝光对成像帧进行平均,从而得到一个强度分布均匀的部分相干照明光场。通过一个4f系统对物体成像,采集一幅像平面和两幅不同离焦面下的强度图像,用数值差分的方法得到轴向导数。将轴向导数带入到光强传输方程的迭代算法中,通过不断减小计算实验中的轴向导数与计算得到的轴向导数的差值,不断累加相位值。当迭代满足迭代收敛条件时,迭代结束最后得到像平面的相位分布。

本发明提供了一种基于SLM多角度调制的单次曝光叠层成像方法。该方法包括设计相位图像加载到空间光调制器中来生成不同角度的子光束,探测器采集到的单幅衍射图样包含物面交叠的五幅不同的子衍射图案,由于相邻衍射图交叠部分包含有物体冗余信息,可以用叠层迭代算法得到探针光束的复振幅分布,通过衍射回传得到物平面的复振幅分布。通过拍摄一幅衍射图强度分布图像,用叠层迭代算法计算出中心平面的相位分布,进而通过衍射回传得到物平面的复振幅分布与探针分布。相比于其他叠层成像方法,单次曝光叠层成像速度更快、对时间分辨与光源的相干性要求更低。

一种基于微波光子技术的多目标三坐标探测方法属于微波光子与雷达相交叉领域。本发明将微波光子技术和雷达探测技术相结合,采用光子倍频手段产生宽带发射信号对目标进行探测,使用具有对称结构的十字形天线阵列接收回波并对回波进行去斜处理。对去斜处理得到的去斜信号频率进行对称性分析,实现对不同目标的距离、方位角以及俯仰角探测信息的区分,实现同时探测多目标的距离、方位角以及俯仰角信息。本发明对激光器功率波动和调制器偏置点漂移不敏感,因此具有更好的稳定性;接收天线的基线长度不必小于半波长,因此可以使用大孔径的接收天线阵列,以获得更高的探测精度;需波束扫描而可以实现对大方向范围内空间的实时监测。

本发明公开了一种基于达曼光栅分束的连续太赫兹波单曝光叠层成像方法,该方法通过分束器件太赫兹达曼光栅产生对被测样品进行阵列照明的子波束,同时捕获多束携带被测样品信息的衍射图样,将衍射图样进行叠层重建算法重建出照明光束的复振幅和样品的透过率函数,得到被测样品的表面形貌,提取出被测样品的相位信息,从而定量推算出被塑料、陶瓷、纸张等非极性物质遮挡的被测样品表面的形貌结构。本发明有效解决了普通太赫兹叠层成像需要多次曝光,使得实时性较低的问题,从而在定量得到大样品的形貌结构的基础上,真正实现大视场高分辨率快速成像。

An illumination beam with a subwavelength waist and extended focal depth is ideal for terahertz computed tomography. In this paper, a binary terahertz super-oscillatory lens is proposed with a full width at half-maximum of 0.97 A, a focal length of 48 A, a focal depth of 25 A, and a numerical aperture of 0.24. It was designed using the simulated annealing algorithm, fabricated by three-dimensional printing, and applied in continuous-wave terahertz computed tomography operating at 278.6 GHz. When combined with the total variation minimisation algorithm, this setup was able to recognise a hollow cylinder with wall thickness 1.1 A and a bar of diameter 0.93 A inside a chamber, with mean errors of less than 5%. Our approach provides an effective way to enhance the resolution and reconstruction fidelity of terahertz computed tomography and to promote it as an effective tool for non-destructive testing and three-dimensional measurement.

With the development of continuous-wave terahertz (THz) sources and array detectors, the pursuit of high-fidelity real-time imaging is receiving significant attention within the THz community. Here, we report a real-time full-field THz phase imaging approach based on lensless Fourier-transform THz digital holography. A triangular interferometric layout is proposed based on an oblique illumination of 2.52 THz radiation, which is different from other lensless holographic configurations at other frequencies. A spherical reference beam is generated by a reflective parabolic mirror with minor propagation loss. The complex-valued images are reconstructed using a single inverse Fourier transform of the hologram without complex calculation of the diffraction propagation. The experimental result for a Siemens star validates the lateral resolution of similar to 346 mu m in the diagonal direction. Sub-pixel image registration and image stitching algorithms are applied to enlarge the area of the reconstructed images. The dehydration process of an aquatic plant leaf (Hottonia inflates) is monitored for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, at the THz band. Rapid variations in water content and morphology are measured with a time interval of 0.6 s and a total time of 5 min from a series of reconstructed amplitude and phase images, respectively. The proposed method has the potential to become a powerful tool to investigate spontaneous phenomena at the THz band. (C) 2022 Chinese Laser Press

Massive usage scenarios prompt the prosperity of terahertz refractive index (THz RI) measurement methods. However, they are very difficult in measuring the full-field dynamical RI distributions of either solid samples without a priori thickness or liquid samples. In this study, we propose total internal reflection THz digital holography and apply it for measuring RI distributions for both solid and liquid samples dynamically. An RI measurement model is established based on an attenuated total reflection prism with a pitching angle. The pitching angle and the field of view can be numerically calculated from the spectrogram of the off-axis Fresnel hologram, which solves the adjustment of the visually opaque prism irradiated by the invisible THz beam. Full-field RI distributions of the droplets of solid-state soy wax and distilled water are obtained and compared with THz time-domain spectroscopy. The evaporation of an ethanol solution droplet is recorded, and the variation of the RI distribution at the sample-prism interface is quantitatively visualized with a temporal resolution of 10 Hz. The proposed method greatly expands the sample range for THz RI measurements and provides unprecedented insight into investigating spontaneous and dynamic THz phenomena. (C) 2022 Chinese Laser Press
