摘要 :

基于薄板激光焊失稳数值分析理论,建立了矩形栅格结构的激光点焊仿真模型,通过提取超薄板十字交叉结构激光点焊后固有应变的分布,在栅格结构面外失稳变形模型中计算得到十字交叉接头第一阶正特征值屈曲模态,表现为偏转变形.随着热输入的增大,接头的面外变形量明显增加,且偏转方向改变.对两种焊接顺序下的栅格结构进行特征值屈曲变形分析,发现焊接顺序1条件下第1层薄板接头处有明显的向下偏移,变形挠度为27μm.焊接顺序2下薄板的屈曲特征值较小,此时薄板的整体挠度增大.焊点个数的增多导致失稳变形更容易发生,具体表现为薄板的屈曲特征值持续下降,焊点附近屈曲变形的相互耦合作用会使栅格结构在中间层的面外变形量相比顶部和底部区域有明显增大.

Study on hot cracking in laser welded joints of inconel 718 alloy foils EI

Pulsed laser welding was used to join ultra thin Inconel 718 alloy foils whose thickness was 0.2 mm. A fixture was designed to obtain the edge joint. The joint geometry and hot cracking were both observed on the cross sections. The relationship between the height, width of the joint and the energy density were fitted as linear functions. The effect of heat input on the hot cracking in the edge joint was obtained. It was shown that a hot cracking occurred during the solidification of the molten metal under laser heating. The crack initiated at the gap between the foil pair and propagated along the Laves phase with low melting point. The crack length could be reduced by applying low heat input. Tearing tests were conducted to evaluate the influence of the cracking on the mechanical performance of edge joints. There existed two failure modes for the edge joint under a tear loading. When the crack length exceeds 106.9 μm the hot crack starts to propagate and the tear loading decreases with crack length increasing. A finite element model was established to simulate the stress evolution during the cooling stage. The main reason of crack initiation and propagation were both presented. © 2021 The Society of Manufacturing Engineers

Additively manufactured delta-ferrite-free 410 stainless steel with desirable performance SCIE

The 410 stainless steel (SS410) large-size block part without defects was successfully prepared by cold metal transfer (CMT) wire-arc additive manufacturing (WAAM). Results showed that 5-ferrite in SS410 could be eliminated during deposition without any extra post-treatment. The content of martensite in the central zone and overlap zone both exceeded 96%, and the rest was punctate austenite. The average strength/elongation of the as-deposited (AD) block part was 1323 MPa/4.1%. By comparing the tensile properties of AD samples with low-temperature annealing (LA), full annealing (FA), and high temperature tempering (HT) post-heat-treated samples, the HT could achieve the best balance of strength and ductility with an elongation about 12.7%. This work proved that the high-performance parts could be prepared through WAAM by using appropriate processing parameters. (C) 2021 Published by Elsevier B.V.

2Cr13 thin-wall part was additively deposited by robotic cold metal transfer (CMT) tech-nology, and two traditionally manufactured counterparts in annealing (as-Aed) and quenching & tempering (as-QTed) conditions were adopted as comparison. The results show that only a strong texturing corresponding to alpha-Fe phase was detected for the wire-arc additively manufactured (WAAM) part, indicating an austenite-free structure. As-deposited microstructure was consisted of martensite laths and ferrite matrix, along with irregular delta-ferrite precipitation. The martensitic growth direction was non-oriented in the X-Y plane, but primarily parallel to the depositing direction in the X-Z and Y-Z planes along the maximum thermal gradient. Both nanohardness and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) for each WAAM sample were enhanced when compared with the as-Aed BM, while poorer than that of the as-QTed BM. Such mechanical evolution was a result of the intrinsic micro-structural features, whereas the similar elastic modulus properties were mainly attributed to the similar 2Cr13 atomic bonding. A ductile tensile fracture behavior was dominant in the X-Z plane, while a mixed mode of ductile and brittle fracture occurred in the X-Y and Y-Z planes. The findings above reveal an isotropy in mechanical properties despite a slightly microstructural discrepancy in different planes for the as-deposited 2Cr13 WAAM part. (C) 2021 The Authors. Uniform solder balls are widely used in 3D Printing and electronic packaging. Therefore, it needs a simple method for producing uniform solder balls at a higher quality. In this article, a novel and simple method was presented to produce uniform solder balls by the technology of electromagnetic force driving and differential pressure control. The results indicated that the uniform solder balls of Sn-58Bi alloy could be produced by two different modes of differential pressure control. The solder balls with a spherical degree between 0 and 3% and diameter with a mean variation of 4% were produced at different diameter and reasonable test parameters. © 2020 Elsevier B.V.

Residual stress analysis and measurement in multi-layer bellows SCIE

Because large plastic deformation occurs in hydroforming bellows there is a residual stress distributing in the metal after forming, which is complex and not easy to be measured. The existence of residual stress might have an effect on the corrosive property and bulking performance of bellows. A finite element model was established to simulate the forming residual stress of the nickel alloy multi-layer bellow. The distribution of residual stress was calculated out and validated by cos alpha X-ray diffraction measurement. Thus the forming mechanics and the effects of layer number and forming pressure on the residual stress in the hydroforming bellow were both discussed in detail based on the established model. It was shown that the calculated residual stress had the same trend with the experimental results. The axial and circumferential residual stresses at the outer surface of the peak were both compressive. There existed the maximal Von Mises stress at the inner surface of the peak of the bellow. At this position the radial and axial residual stresses were both tensile. When applying multi-layer bellows and less forming pressure a lower forming residual stress could be obtained because of the narrow plastic strain region during forming.

In this work, H13 buildups were produced through wire-arc additive manufacturing based on cold metal transfer technology. Four different deposition strategies were employed for the fabrication and the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the corresponding buildups were compared. A bimodal microstructure for all buildups produced in the overlap zone (OZ) and body zone (BZ), respectively, despite a mixture of lath-shaped martensites and blocky delta-ferrites in the OZ and a slightly coarser but still fine martensites in the BZ. The as-deposited mechanical properties were evidently superior to the properties of the base metal after annealing, but slightly inferior to that after quenching and tempering. Compared with the components with different deposition patterns between adjacent layers, the relatively enhanced hardness and wear-resistance properties were acquired for the ones with the same scanning strategies, being responsible for the smaller retained delta-ferrite size in the OZ and slightly refined martensites in the BZ. The deposition strategy had a negligible influence on the wear surface hardness, all decreasing gradually from the wear zone to the transient zone and finally keeping stable as a result of the locally martensitic evolution. As the in-situ thermal history was influenced by the deposition strategies, both of the microstructural distribution and mechanical performances were affected by the deposition strategies. Besides, the applied strategies, characterized by the different scanning directions between adjacent tracks, had a negligible influence on microstructures and mechanical properties following comparison with the counterparts with the different directions between adjacent layers. In this paper, Ti6Al4V octahedron lattice structures with top cap and bottom base were fabricated through selective laser melting (SLM). The structural integrity, microstructural evolution, compressive properties and failure mechanism of as-fabricated (AF) and vacuum annealing treated (VAT) samples were studied through both experiments and numerical modeling. The X-ray computed tomography analysis revealed that vacuum annealing had an insignificant effect on internal pore elimination and porosity reduction. For both the AF and VAT samples, larger pores exhibited more irregular shape than smaller pores. The microstructural analysis suggested that vacuum annealing was able to transform acicular α/α` martensites into uniformly distributed lamellar α + β phases and also to cause the formation of nano-particle precipitation and dislocation. The compressive test indicted that the lattice structure with confined top and bottom had much better compressive properties than those without. Also, vacuum annealing significantly improved the compressive strength by 26% due to the synergistic effect of residual stress relief, nano-particle precipitation and dislocation strengthening. The ductility of the VAT sample was also improved as compared to the AF sample, which was mainly attributed to the formation of α + β phases. © 2020 The Authors

电弧增材制造具有效率高、成本低和不受成形尺寸限制等独特优势,在新型制造、修复领域拥有良好的应用前景.获得力学性能良好、显微组织均匀的电弧增材制造件是目前急需解决的问题.通过冷金属过渡焊(CMT)丝材电弧增材制造系统,制备了两种410马氏体不锈钢块体材料.光学显微镜(OM)、扫描电镜(SEM)和力学性能测试结果表明,现有工艺可制备显微组织均匀、硬度平均值为530HV、抗拉强度平均值为1 196 MPa且延伸率均匀的沉积件.本工作还探讨分析了电弧增材制造件的力学性能特点及成因,并与锻造、激光增材制造等方法制得的H13热作模具钢的力学性能进行比较,分析了电弧增材制造件的性能与其他方法制备的工件性能存在差异的原因,考察了冷金属过渡电弧增材制造410不锈钢在修复件中使用的可行性,阐述了提升电弧增材制造件力学性能的方向.

采用机器人辅助冷金属过渡电弧增材制造技术制备五层十五道结构的H13钢块体,研究了沉积块体的表面质量、显微组织和力学性能。结果表明:H13钢块体表面无宏观裂纹;块体主体区组织为晶粒取向均匀的针状马氏体,搭接区组织由晶粒取向杂乱的针状马氏体和不规则铁素体组成;块体主体区的平均显微硬度为479HV,远高于退火态H13钢的(254HV),而搭接区因存在铁素体,其硬度明显降低,平均值仅为381HV;冷金属过渡电弧增材制造H13钢块体的整体拉伸性能优于退火态H13钢的。
