The diverse shapes and multi-component characteristics of complex carbides in nickel-based superalloys play a crucial role in determining their mechanical properties. However, relying solely on experimental evaluations poses challenges, making analog simulations essential. This study investigates the structural, mechanical, and electronic properties of skeletal and blocky carbides in the DZ125 superalloy using first-principles calculation and experimental methods. The carbides analyzed include Ti0.125Ta0.625Hf0.25C and Ti0.125Ta0.25Hf0.625C, which differ in their Ta and Hf ratios. The results indicate that Ti0.125Ta0.625Hf0.25C exhibits superior mechanical properties compared to Ti0.125Ta0.25Hf0.625C, along with enhanced fracture toughness and higher energy requirements for crack propagation. Electronic characteristic analysis reveals that Ti0.125Ta0.625Hf0.25C possesses greater thermodynamic stability due to the presence of more valence electrons in Ta atoms, which form stronger covalent and metallic bonds. Additionally, quasi-in-situ tensile testing confirms that skeletal carbides exhibit higher cracking resistance compared to blocky carbides. This study enhances our understanding of the stability of these carbides and provides valuable insights for the design and optimization of DZ125 superalloys.

Extremely rapid heating and cooling rates during the additive manufacturing (AM) process generate complicated thermal cycles, which affect the microstructure evolution and ultimate mechanical properties of the alloy. In this paper, FGH96 blocks with a height of 6 mm were prepared by selective laser melting (SLM) and the microstructure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Comparing specimens of varying heights, it was found that subsequent thermal cycles (STC) coarsened some solidified grains and accelerated the grain growth along the build direction, together with an increase in texture intensity and high-angle grain boundaries (HAGBs). After coarsening the grains in the middle portion of the built block, finer grains were observed near the top area due to a faster cooling rate. There were numerous dislocations in the grain because of the occurrence of unequal internal tension. In the middle of the sample with stable thermal cycles, the dislocations were both perpendicular to the grain growth direction and 45 degrees off it. In spite of the texture characteristics, the segregation of elements was also found to be influenced by thermal cycling. Inherent reheating leads to the increase in the Laves phase and the decrease in the gamma' phase as subsequent deposition. This was also one of the reasons why the microhardness of the sample decreased as the building height and the other reason being the decrease in the solution treatment of the later sediments.

一种硫系相变材料结合Ag纳米颗粒多层薄膜结构的十级光学存储单元,属于光学存储领域。存储单元包括基底、记录层、反射层和保护层。Ag纳米颗粒的引入改变了纳秒脉冲激光辐照存储单元时记录层的热分布和热传输,显著影响了记录层的微观组织结构。通过改变纳秒激光能量密度,可以获得差值较大的十个光学反射率值,进而实现了十级光学存储。此外,存储单元还具有良好的可循环性。本发明通过相变材料的热稳定性和非易失性,结合纳秒激光的普遍性,摆脱了传统意义上的二值存储,实现了光学大密度存储。同时,所设计结构简单,制备快捷,可以大量投入生产,为未来全光存储、计算的发展奠定了基础。

Stacked Ge2Sb2Te5/Indium Tin Oxide Nanoscale-Thick Interference Units for Increased Saturation Reflective Colors and Shortwave Infrared Shielding SCIE

Fabry-Perot structures comprising metal/interference medium/metal have attracted considerable attention as lithography-free and scalable color reflectors, as such structures can selectively absorb electromagnetic waves in the visible range to produce vivid reflected colors. However, traditional methods for producing high-saturation reflected colors generally use a narrow full width at half-maximum (fwhm) or high reflectivity. This work proposes a nanoscale multi-unit-stacking structure based on a Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST)-ITO interference unit to obtain high-saturation colors combined with fwhm and reflectivity. Finite element simulations and experimental measurements reveal that the additional absorption bands introduced by the stacking interference units reduce the fwhm of the peak and increase reflectivity, thus improving the saturation. Furthermore, adjustments in the number of stacking cells lead to changes in the saturation but have a negligible effect on the hue. The use of germanium-antimony-tellurium (also denoted as GST) as a phase-change material can facilitate further adjustments in the optical tenability of the structure upon phase transition, indicating certain potential applications. Moreover, the structure exhibits shortwave infrared shielding owing to the destructive interference of the GST layer. Additionally, the application of this structure in color printing was demonstrated. This study simplifies the design process of highly saturated colors, circumvents expensive preparation processes, and offers the possibility of shortwave infrared shielding. The nanoscale structures described herein indicate new opportunities in the field of color coatings, intelligent windows, and decorations.

Control of ferromagnetic resonance by phase change in Si/GeSbTe/ FeCoB heterostructures SCIE

Phase-change materials (PCMs) provide an alternative avenue for modulating the adjacent layer property through interfacial effect, which sometimes is more effective than the traditional methods. Here, a systematic study of the phase-change induced control of FMR resonance field in Si/GeSbTe/FeCoB heterostructures is presented. We show that different crystalline phases induced by thermal anneal in GeSbTe/FeCoB films contribute to large shifts in resonance field of FeCoB up to 15 mT. The correlation between GeSbTe phase change and anisotropic field of FeCoB is confirmed from the GeSbTe film morphology dependent of stress. These results propose a method of phase-change induced control of FMR resonant field and ferromagnetism in PCM/ferromagnetic alloy film heterostructures by controlling interface roughness, which can be introduced in the optimization of ferromagnetic alloy film parameters and development of high functioning magnetic devices.

Heterostructural materials have the advantage of extreme low switching energy between states and hence are expected to be applied in photonic devices, whose optical performances are vital to explore in advance. In this paper, crystal structures of TiTe2/Sb2Te3 heterostructural films and their effects on optical properties were clarified from the aspects of in-plane strain, resonant bonding and charge redistribution by experiments and first principle simulations. Larger strain in Sb2Te3 sublayer tended to decrease reflectivity and refractive indexes, while huge resonant bonding effect was beneficial to improve the optical parameter deviations. Charge analyses showed that crystalline optical property variations were actually deriving from the electron redistribution differences especially near the heterostructural Te center dot center dot center dot Te gap, which also accounted for experimental reflectivity order. Finally, based on the resonant bond effects and surrounding electron density after stimuluses, five optical levels with identifiable optical contrasts (n and Delta R) were achieved in 1/2 model for uses. The present study sheds new light on optical properties of TiTe2/Sb2Te3 and paves the way for potential multi-state applications of heterostructure in photonic and storage devices. 一种基于相变材料GemSbnTek的石墨烯辅助驱动微环光开关,属于光开关技术领域。包括衬底层、波导层、相变材料层、石墨烯传热层、电极层,其特征在于石墨烯裹覆于相变材料上层。本发明利用电脉冲激发石墨烯薄膜产生焦耳热,并通过热传导加热相变材料薄膜,驱动相变材料相态改变,利用相变材料不同晶相间的光学常数差异调控输出光信号大小,即可实现开关控制。对于传统的电光、热光开关,本发明使用导热系数超高的石墨烯材料,增加了传热速率,降低了开关能耗,提高了开关响应速度。本发明具有尺寸小、能耗低、开关响应速度快等优点,在光纤通信领域具有重要的应用前景。

一种基于相变材料的分支波导交互调控超快全光开关,属于全光网络应用技术领域。全光开关包括层底、信号光波导、调控光波导和相变材料薄膜。信号光波导与调控光波导交互设计,相变材料薄膜嵌入在光波导交界处。利用调控光波导与相变材料薄膜倏逝场耦合作用,控制光脉冲的能量和数量来改变相变材料薄膜的相态。硫系化合物相变材料薄膜在晶态和非晶态的光学常数存在巨大差异,可以改变信号光的光场传输行为,从而实现了全光开关。本发明利用硫系化合物相变材料的非易失性超快相变(ps‑ns量级)特性,并结合光驱动的超快性,实现全光开关的低损耗、高速度和高消光比特性,结构简单,便于集成,为未来全光网络的发展奠定了基础。

一种基于3D打印的石墨烯‑聚二甲基硅氧烷压电储能鞋垫设计方法涉及能量转换领域,实现将人行走过程中足底压力产生的机械能转换为电能的能量转换。其设置有吸汗除菌层和3D打印橡胶支撑组成的顶部保护层,3D打印G‑PDMS压电板、开关和USB接口组成的压电层,以及高密度海绵构成的底部支撑层。本发明使用的PDMS材料利用3D打印技术使鞋垫更加贴合足底形状,从而可使压电材料发生更大的形变,进而提高能量转换效率。
