As the total water resources consumption control and carbon mitigation continuous improvement, the weak water-carbon incorporate management is increasingly exposed. In this study, a water-carbon nexus assessment framework is proposed to analyze the nexus relationship between water consumption and carbon emission, and distinguishes the coupled water-carbon transmission intensity and the transfer paths under regional and industrial scales. According to the practical input-output table, water consumption, and carbon emission information, the framework is applied to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration (BTHUA), a population, resource, and trade intensive area of China. Inter-regional/intra-regional water consumption and carbon emission transfer fluxes between sectors, the pairwise ecological relationship, and the water-carbon nexus were analyzed. Results indicated that the water-carbon transfer indexes from Hebei to Beijing and Tianjin were 161.85 kg/m(3) and 113.88 kg/m(3) in the study period, along with the most water consumption and carbon emission, and the worst water-carbon nexus. From the industrial perspective, electricity and gas supplying industry provided 7.8% and 29.1% of the total carbon transfer in Tianjin and Hebei, as the most key node sectors on the water-carbon nexus in the BTHUA. The research provides valuably supporting the adjustment of the existing urban agglomeration water-carbon nexus management schemes.

With the advantages of avoiding land-use competition, biomass from agricultural residues is a promising solution to alleviate the energy crisis and environmental problems. In the traditional biomass utilization management problem, few studies have considered that land and water are key resources for the sustainable development of biomass from a life cycle view. Concerning the complex food-water-energy nexus, this paper focuses on the synergetic management of crop planting structure and biomass utilization as a whole system. An integrated framework is proposed for the co-optimization of cropland distribution and biomass utilization pathway under multiple uncertainties. Base on interval programming and fuzzy set theory, a type-2 fuzzy interval linear programming model is developed to handle multiple uncertainties with various characteristics and provide the optimum strategies for decision makers with different risk preferences. The proposed framework is verified by a case study of Hebei Province, China. Moreover, the impacts of water shortage and the implementation of the carbon price on the optimized strategies, economic and environmental benefits are investigated to provide deeper management insights when facing complex external factors. The obtained results suggest that corn and wheat will still be the primary crops, and bioethanol production will gain priority in the biomass utilization pathways for economic purposes. Water resources availability will greatly affect the crop planting allocation as well as total benefits but barely influence the biomass utilization pathways. Furthermore, with the implementation of the carbon trade market, a higher carbon price will stimulate biomass pellets production to replace fossil fuel consumption and improve the economic benefits directly.

一种区域生物质电厂选址及规划方法涉及发电规划技术领域。本发明应用GIS软件并结合多属性决策方法,引入运输成本、原材料需求等不确定因素的同时考虑经济目标和环境目标来进行规划选址,综合考虑诸如水资源、环境政策等关键参数对于决策的影响,使研究更贴近生物质电厂运行的实际环境。使得秸秆等生物质资源得到合理的回收和利用、保证良好稳定的原料供应的同时,降低生物质电厂的运营成本,对生物质电厂进行正确合理的选址和规划。

一种土地利用变化视角下的城市碳代谢演化分析方法属于管理科学、生态环境科学与地理信息技术交叉的技术领域。本发明为了解决现有做法存在的问题而提供了一种土地利用变化视角下的城市代谢演化分析方法,旨在针对不同用地类型创建相应碳核算体系,探索与土地利用变化相关的动态城市碳代谢系统,确定与土地利用相关的城市生态系统中各种自然和社会经济成分之间的生态关系,为优化土地利用提供决策参考。

与传统配电网运行模式相比,主动配电网通过对分布式电源、储能装置、用户侧需求响应资源等多种需求侧资源实行主动有效的调度管理,能够实现"源-网-荷-储"的协同管控,提高系统效率.针对主动配电网"源-网-荷-储"协调经济调度中面临的多重不确定因素,本文提出了基于区间参数规划和随机鲁棒性优化的混合优化模型,以实现主动配电网优化辅助决策.该方法能够有效处理系统中多种形式的不确定信息,保证最优调度方案在不确定风险下可兼顾系统运行可靠性和经济性,并探索价格型需求响应机制对主动配电网"源-网-荷-储"协调优化调度的影响.通过算例分析,验证了此混合优化方法的可行性与有效性,为含分布式能源的主动配电网决策者提供不同风险偏好下的决策参考.

In this study, a new concept concerning comprehensive characteristics of water resources utilization as an index for risk modeling within the water allocation management model is proposed to explore the tolerance of unbalanced allocation problem under water-energy nexus. The model is integrated with interval two-stage stochastic programming for reflecting system uncertainties. These uncertainties are associated with the industrial production feature and the decision-making process. With respect to water-energy nexus, energy proposed is mainly focused on the consumption intensity of water purification and transportation from different water sources. The developed model is applied for industrial water resources allocation management in Henan province, China. Multiple scenarios related to disparate energy consumption control and the comprehensive risk levels are simulated to obtain a reasonable trade-off among system profit, comprehensive risk, and energy consumption. The results indicated that the strict comprehensive risk management or energy consumption control measures could cause damage to system benefit owing to decreasing the flexibility of industrial water resources distributions, and the preliminary energy consumption or the comprehensive risk control would be beneficial to moderate the conflict between industrial sectors and water resources, and accelerate industrial structure transformation in the future. HIGHLIGHTS A comprehensive risk-oriented industrial water resources management model is proposed. Uncertainties are reflected as stochastic and interval information. Energy-water nexus is a constraint index for water purification and transportation. The tolerance of unbalanced allocation problem is explored. Trade-off among system profit, comprehensive risk, and energy consumption is analyzed.

Rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system, as part of the renewable energy development strategy to guarantee energy security and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in urban areas, has received a lot of attention during the last decade. To provide an up-to-date and systematic research landscape of the rooftop PV field, this study conducted the bibliometric analysis, collaboration network analysis, co-citation analysis, and hotspots detection based on 595 articles collected from the core collection database of Web of Science. The results showed that the number of publications per year in this field has increased steadily since 2015. The USA was the most important contributor in this research field in terms of quantity (number of publications) and impact (number of citations). The co-authorship communities were obtained by collaboration network analysis, and the international collaboration is expected to be further strengthened according to the research focuses of each community. The key knowledge base and the main hot topics of the rooftop PV research field were identified from co-citation analysis and keywords co-occurrence network. Furthermore, based on the literature review, a detailed analysis of the main topics was provided for a better understanding of the current research trends and opportunities. This study can be served as a strategic review of the rooftop PV field to help relevant researchers carry out in-depth research in the future. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Resource and environmental elements as controlling factors for ecologic and socio-economic are crucial to seek new ideas and paths for development and prosperity. In this study, environmentally-extended input-output analysis and ecological network analysis were combined to develop three ecological networks including energy ecological network, water ecological network, and carbon ecological network for searching the complex relationships among different departments for water utilization, energy consumption, and carbon emissions under considering China as a superorganism with various complex metabolic processes and the most fundamental metabolic materials. The embodied ecological elements intensity, the indirect consumption and emissions, the embodied material flows, the ecological relationships, and the dependence intensities among sectors was obtained through transforming the monetary input-output data to physical data from 2007, 2012, and 2017. The results show that the Energy Ecological Network and Water Ecological Network were in a relatively stable state with a mutualism index greater than 1, and the relationship among different sectors in the CO2 Ecological Network needs to be further adjusted. AM (Advanced Manufacture) and Agr (Agriculture) played the top exporter and importer roles with AM as the largest embodied energy consumer and CO2 emitter, and Agr as the largest embodied water user. More measures about resource conservation and emission reduction for AM and Agr are desired. Con (construction) had a strong dependence intensity on other sectors with amounts of over 90%. Resources and environmental effects on Con can be improved by increasing the utilization efficiency of intermediate products. The results could provide scientific policy implications and guidelines to promote the stable and healthy operations by revealing the dynamic change of sectors within the Energy-Water-CO2 metabolic system in China.

Reliable access to electricity is still a serious problem for remote villages, however, abundant solar radiation and biomass have the potentials to provide energy supply in a sustainable way. This paper focuses on the optimal design and techno-economic analysis of the stand-alone hybrid energy system for a typical rural village in the northwest of China. Based on the estimation of local renewable energy potential and the investigation of heat and power consumption patterns, a mixed-integer linear programming optimization model is presented with the aim of minimum total annualized cost. The techno-economic analysis of different system configurations is conducted and compared. Particularly, the levelized cost of energy production and levelized cost of energy consumption is proposed to evaluate the economic-cost of energy from both supply and demand-side respectively. Furthermore, sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis is conducted to demonstrate the influences of the variations and uncertain environmental policy on total system cost and performance. The results demonstrate that the PV/biomass-CHP/diesel generator/gas boiler/battery/thermal energy storage hybrid energy system is the most economical option with a total annualized cost of 652 x 10(3) $. The levelized cost of energy consumption (0.355 $/kWh) is greater than that of energy production (0.275 $/kWh), implying a great potential for local electrification and more flexible heat/power output equipment.
